I studied at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester where I learnt with some of Europe’s finest musicians and teachers including Jeremy Young and Helen Krizos.
Since arriving in Sheffield in 2012, I have become established as a piano teacher and accompanist. I accompany for a number of local musical groups and instrumental teachers including a workplace-based choir of midwives called “The Voices of the Jessop Wing”.
I am a passionate and committed teacher and completed the CTABRSM award in instrumental teaching during the final year of my degree at the RNCM.
“Having always wanted to play the piano James makes lessons fun and breaks everything down into basics. He is both a calm and experienced teacher that enables you to get the most out of your piano lessons!”
Each pupil is different and I learn as much from them as they do from me; teaching is a two-way process. I would be happy to teach you or one of your children to play the piano.
I have a fully enhanced DBS check (1483086518).
